LAX Welcomes Air Italy's New Nonstop Service Between LAX and Milan
(Los Angeles, CA) For the first time, passengers can travel nonstop between Los Angeles and Milan with Air Italy’s new service from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Malpensa International Airport (MXP). The airline is offering flights four times a week. This is the first time Air Italy is providing service at LAX, and the new flight makes LAX one of only four airports in the United States providing nonstop flights to and from Milan.

City Council Approves Appointment of Nicholas P. Roxborough to the Board of Airport Commissioners
(Los Angeles, CA) Today, the Los Angeles City Council unanimously approved the appointment of Nicholas P. Roxborough to the Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners (BOAC). The seven-member board governs Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA). It is comprised of public-spirited business and civic leaders who are appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council. As laid out in the City Charter, at least one member of BOAC shall reside within the area surrounding Van Nuys Airport. Commissioner Roxborough serves in that capacity.

'LAX Presents' Performance Series Returns for 2019, Beginning with The Love Uninhibited Orchestra
(Los Angeles, CA) Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) and Grand Performances present the Love Uninhibited Orchestra (LUO) to launch the third season of LAX Presents, a cultural performance series staged in locations across the airport's domestic and international terminals from March until December. Now in its third year of a three-year contract, LAX Presents will bring 38 performances featuring an eclectic array of styles, such as smooth bossa nova, vintage West Coast rock, Mexican folklórico dance, a music and Japanese calligraphy collaboration, jazz piano, and classical ensembles.
